Waitangi day

Waitangi day is the day that the Waitangi treaty was held. The Waitangi treaty was held on the 6'th of February 1840. The Waitangi treaty is about British and Maori signing a treaty to keep the peace patwen the two country's and so they could ban British from buying lad from Maori. If you don't know what a treaty is like an agreement or contract. In Celebration of Waitangi day New Zealand has public holiday and the day of on Monday. Waitangi day was held at the Bay Of Islands.
