International Day of Happiness

Monday 20th March was International Day of Happiness.  To coincide with this day the United Nations released the World Happiness Report.

The happiest place on Earth is... Norway.  While the Central African Republic came in last. Best news is that New Zealand came in eighth position, beating out Australia at number nine.

The World Happiness Report measures “subjective well-being” – how happy the people are, and why.

Camp

• My goal for camp is not to get stung by bee and eat a prawn.  
• What skills, strengths, qualities, powers do you possess that will help you have a really successful camp experience: I will have to use all the learning powers especially respect.

• What will you do if you have a problem at camp? I will go to the teacher.
• How will you be an effective team member in your car group, activity group and cabin group? What will we see or hear? I will be super positive with everyone and I will never put any one down.
• I am looking forward to all the activates.

Bomb scare at White House!!!!!

On March 20 White house authorities had to arrest a person following a bomb scare at the White House.

Over the weekend a man drove to a White House checkpoint and claimed to have a bomb. Following a close inspection of the vehicle no device was found in the vehicle, but White House security had a lot better than he expected.

It was the second scare at the White House on Saturday. A person earlier jumped over a bike rack in a buffer zone in front of the building (Fancy Word) But was unable to scale a fence into the grounds before being tackled by guards, good for them.

Lucky US President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of both incidents.

My Cozen Cades Birthday

On Cade's birthday He took me to a lovely Thai Restaurant. For auntry: we had 6 yummy prawn twisters that took me ten minutes to eat( So spicy).For main: we had this duck salad thing with cashews and you should the carauort carvings the did. For main: fried ice-cream and chocolate which was yummy.

My weekly news

Last weekend it was the New Zealand open,The New Zealand open was being held at Millbrook. New Zealand has not won the New Zealand open since 2003 but that was going to change. It was a three way tie between Michael Hendry,Brad Kennedy and overnight leader Ben Campbell at par three on the 18’th hole.

It didn't help when Brad and Ben both went for a drink in lake, Which gave a easy win for Michael Hendry. A month ago Michael would've never thought of stepping foot on the green, Because he injured his back while in the gym. ‘’I never thought of winning the open because of my injury but I came out and suwg at the ball’’

The Rain

Today there has been drentrue rain it doesn't look like it’s gone a stop. This rain is insane there is rain evey were roads are closed schools are closed, Ngatea is one of only schools still open.

Outside puddles are ankle deep in Wiatack is waist deep they were the first school to shut.
