Term 4 Reflection

What have you enjoyed the most this term and why?

• I have enjoyed IXL because gets harder and harder each week.
• I enjoyed the Year 6 bike ride because I have been waiting for it for 2 years.
• I enjoyed my Impact group because I love making things.

What has been challenging this term and why?

• My SRA has been challenging because I went up 3 levels.
• Our blog has been challenging because it is a new post each week and I forget to put it on my blog.
• My AWS because the 10 quick questions because I’m not good with counting money.

What are you looking forward to next year?

I am looking forward to leaving Whetu because I been in Whetu for 2 years now and I looking forward to camp next year. I am also looking forward to Tech because someone in Marama told me it is awesome.

Homework challenge

Last week I started a homework challenge and we had to make something out of a milk bottle. We have to use what we can find around the house and make something out of it.

I’m am so far in the planning stage because I am the only one who drinks milk (ahhhh) So far I am making a milk carton iron.

The most challenging part is cutting up the milk bottle we have bad scissors and the milk bottle is thick.

Term 3 Holidays

This holidays I went pig hunting with my dad, papa and my cousin Cooper. We went all over the hill looking for a pig. All  of a sudden one of our dogs slick ran off before we knew it he had gone 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m 700m. Then he was out of range we knew he was chasing a deer because none of the other dogs ran off.

I also roasted Marshmallows by the fire with Cooper and Joshua then we realized the big Marshmallows were yuck. We stayed up late till midnight playing games.In the morning we played on the WII Fit Pluse. (I won)

Learning in the Making 2016

Last Friday was learning in the making. I

did Scout skills, Funky decorations, Flax Weaving and First Aid.

Scout Skills

For Scout Skills I did Buma trail A buma trail is when you are blindfolded then you follow a rope and go around trees and through barrels.

   Funky decorations

For  Funky Decorations I made a spider out of a pot and out of this fuzzy wire. I learned a lot about decorations and I named it Jeff the pot.

Flax Weaving

In Flax weaving I learned how to make a Flax Flower.It took me three times to make it.When I did make I gave to my Mum.

 

First Aid          

In First Aid I learned how to make a bandage out of a triangle bandage around my leg and my feet I also make a sling. I had lots of fun because I did not know how to make them.

Labour Day

Labour Day

Labour Day was first founded on the 2nd Wednesday of October 1899 so now labour day is 117 years old.

New Zealand was the first country to have labour day. The reason labour day is now on the 4’th Monday is because the second Wednesday was in the middle of the week so it’s not a break.

So if it’s on a Monday they get a proper break. Labour day was by founded Samuel Parnell. Labour Day was made was because back then people worked 12-15 hours now they work 8 hours. Kids also have the day off.

For Labour Day I did grapefruit juice and bags stall outside our house. I made $17 dollars from selling bags of grapefruit.

    

Cross country

This Monday was cross country and I had to go up killer hill.I raced with the 11 year olds I came 13th if I came in the top 10 would have made it into H.P. I was very proud of myself. The day was very hot and a bit hard to run in my mum and papa came to watch me race.

When I got home I tried to get to sleep but my lamb kept me up baring.I have made it to Hauraki Plains 1 time in 2014 and I came 15th the top 6 make it into Thames Valley.

My speech  It’s about germs.

I picked this topic because I want to raise the awareness of germs and how bad they can be.    

It was hard because there's not a lot of websites about germs that could help me.  

I am a bit nervous because I have stage fright and don’t like speaking in front of a crowd.

Thats right IDrive is back (celebrate).

So last week I was trying to make a pillow and finish but I have only done half. What I'm proud of ?

I am proud of getting my Character Analyser done on time especially when another group is watching. It was easy to find facts about James Cook. It was fun being able to write about James Cook apparently he's was a tough and funny guy.  

My holidays

My holidays

I went to see the new movie Jungle Book and it was about a boy/man cub named Mowgli who was a kid raised by wolves. But the fierce tiger Shrekarn said the jungle is no place for a man cub.

I went to Kelly Tarlton's/sea life with my friend Samuel. When we got there we saw a dead Giant squid, Penguin’s, Blue Moki and more. I also did a challenge called cold water challenge it was - 50c.

Easter

Many Christians celebrate Easter Sunday as it was the day of Jesus Christ's died. The Bible says Christ died on the cross on Good Friday and came back to life three days later on Easter Sunday when they check if he is still there and he wasn't. Easter is on different dates each year, between 21 March and 25 April.

We celebrate Easter by having Hot Cross Buns, Easter Eggs and saying grace.  

My favourite part is when Me,Mum,Dad and Kyle have family game of Cricket.

The Easter Bunny gives me 2 Chocolate eggs and 1 normal.
